First plant in Poland – a strategic step in global growth
Shanghai Pret Composites has been operating for over 30 years and employs 3,000 people worldwide. The decision to enter the Polish market marks an important milestone in strengthening its global presence. In Opole, the company will launch a polymer processing facility, occupying 6,602 sqm of warehouse space and 469 sqm of office space.
– Entering the Polish market is another step in strengthening our global presence. We are pleased to have found a location perfectly suited to our production and logistics needs – says Hao Gong, R&D Engineer at Shanghai Pret Composites Co., Ltd.
CTPark Opole – a place for the business of the future
The new facility of Shanghai Pret Composites is located in building OPOL 04, which already hosts companies such as PUKY, Opolgraf, and ELSTEEL. This investment confirms Poland’s growing importance in Central and Eastern Europe as a strategic industrial hub.
– Asian companies are increasingly choosing Central and Eastern Europe as their operational base. They already account for 10% of tenants in the CTP portfolio. For non-European investors, supply chain predictability, access to EU markets, and an attractive cost structure are crucial – and Poland combines all these advantages in one location – comments Piotr Merta, Business Developer at CTP Poland.
Another benefit is the park’s location within the Wałbrzych Special Economic Zone, which supports business development, facilitates access to modern technologies, and ensures a strong talent pool.
Flexible approach and fast adaptation of space
The project was tailored to the tenant’s advanced production processes. It required, among other things, an increase in power supply capacity, installation of photovoltaic panels, and custom preparation of the office area.
– The project was demanding due to the tenant’s specific operational needs and an ambitious implementation schedule. Thanks to close cooperation, we delivered technical and operational solutions that met all the investor’s key requirements – says Bartosz Czuba, Associate Director, Industrial Agency, Savills Poland, which advised Shanghai Pret Composites during the lease process.
Strong automotive presence in Opole
CTPark Opole is the first CTP park in Poland and a dynamically developing hub for automotive companies. In addition to Shanghai Pret Composites, UFI Filters Poland and TitanX Engine Cooling also operate here. Modern infrastructure, access to skilled labor, and excellent transport connections make the park an attractive destination for international investors.
This transaction confirms that Poland – and particularly the Opole region – is becoming an increasingly important point on the global supply chain map. For Shanghai Pret Composites, it marks the beginning of a new stage of development, and for CTP, it is another proof that its solutions perfectly meet the needs of global industrial leaders.
