Prologis, a global leader in logistics real estate, has announced a groundbreaking Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with ENGIE Zielona Energia. This landmark deal is set to significantly power Prologis's logistics and production parks across Poland with dedicated wind energy, marking a pivotal step towards more sustainable and cost-stable operations for businesses seeking modern warehouse and office space.

The agreement, effective January 2026, will see Prologis draw renewable energy from ENGIE's wind farm, covering a substantial portion of its facilities' energy needs in Poland. This move solidifies Prologis's position as a frontrunner in sustainable logistics real estate, offering tangible environmental benefits and operational efficiencies to its tenants.

 

Unpacking the Landmark PPA: Wind Energy for Polish Logistics

 

Under the PPA, ENGIE will deliver approximately 335 gigawatt-hours (GWh) of clean energy over five years, sourced from a dedicated renewable asset. This initial phase will meet approximately 67% of Prologis's logistics park consumption in Poland at a fixed price, providing a hedge against fluctuating energy markets. The total five-year contract with ENGIE Zielona Energia is set to deliver 500 GWh, effectively covering 100% of the energy demand for Prologis's logistics and production parks, with energy beyond the PPA volume also coming with Guarantees of Origin.
