Records in warehouses

The consulting company Cushman & Wakefield summed up the first quarter of 2022 on the warehouse market. As shown by the data from the "Marketbeat" report, in the first months of the year, the total demand for warehouse space in Poland reached 1.56 million sq m, and the volume of investments under construction reached a record 4.8 million sq m.

Best quarter for supply

According to the latest report "Occupier Insight - Warehouse and industrial market in Q1 2022" published by Newmark Polska, the total resources of modern warehouse and industrial space in Poland exceeded 25 million sq m, which means an increase of 16.6%. compared to the same period in 2021. New supply in the first three months of the year amounted to nearly 1.3 million sq m. and it was the highest quarterly result in the history of the Polish market.

Twice more is still not enough

In the last five years, the warehouse space in Poland has doubled. After the first quarter of 2022, it amounts to a total of 24.7 million sq m, of which 3.5 million sq m. was established in 2021. 4.7 million sq m is under construction, almost twice as much as a year ago, CBRE experts indicate.

Hillwood builds near Łowicz

Hillwood has started the construction of a new logistics park, Hillwood Łowicz Południe. A total of over 108,000 sq m will be built in two buildings. sq m warehouse and office space.
