Cornerstone ceremony at Panattoni Park Gorzów Wielkopolski – on 14 February 2020, the cornerstone was laid to symbolically mark the beginning of the developer’s new investment project in Lubuskie voivodeship. Panattoni Park Gorzów Wielkopolski is planned to total close to 70,000 sqm in two buildings. The construction of the distribution centre will proceed in three stages, with stage one scheduled for completion this June. It is the developer’s first project in Gorzów Wielkopolski and, according to Dorota Jagodzińska-Sasson, Managing Director at Panattoni, one with a lot to offer: “Panattoni Park Gorzów Wielkopolski is an extremely attractive spot on the warehousing map of Poland. The west of Poland and more specifically the Lubuskie voivodeship, right next to the German border, enjoys the keen interest of our neighbours as an investment location for expanding their businesses into new markets. It is also a great location for domestic businesses, keen to grow outwards into Western Europe”.

The cornerstone ceremony for Panattoni Park Gorzów Wielkopolski was attended not only by the representatives of the developer and municipal authorities, but also by the first tenants – Omnipack and Logoplaste Polska, who will take up in excess of 10,000 sqm in total.

Omnipack delivers comprehensive fulfilment solutions for e-commerce, and has leased 6,500 sqm at Panattoni Park Gorzów Wielkopolski. The company has been developing very dynamically, and will be taking up new warehouse space to enable expansion of service into the European market. Rafał Szcześniewski, Founder & COO Omnipack, comments: “Nearly half of Omnipack’s customers do business internationally, and we have a presence in countries including Germany, the United Kingdom, France and the Czech Republic”, adding: “The location in Gorzów is part of our strategy of international expansion for 2020. By opening a warehouse next to the German border, we will be able to offer next working day deliveries in that market, and at a price very similar to local domestic rates in Germany. It is a very important element of our competitive edge, facilitating our operations in the European e-commerce market”. In sealing the lease deal, Omnipack was represented by the advisory firm Cushman & Wakefield.

The other tenant is Logoplaste, a global value-added service provider and manufacturer of rigid plastic containers for many well-known global consumer companies. Gerardo Chiaia, CEO Logoplaste, comments on the company’s presence in the Gorzów park “Our new space at Panattoni Park Gorzów Wielkopolski, amounting to more than 3,700 sqm, reinforces the domestic position of Logoplaste Polska. The site will become an important logistics hub for us and our customers. Established in 1976, the company pioneered the wall-to-wall production model, which significantly reduces CO2 emissions from transport and secondary packaging and contributes to improving the overall environmental impact of the customers’ supply chain”. The lease transaction was mediated by the real estate firm JLL.

Panattoni Park Gorzów Wielkopolski is the developer’s most recent project in Lubuskie voivodeship, along the S3 expressway.
